Important note
The Challenges feature is currently being rolled out and may not be available on your Partner Portal yet. We are working to expand to all partners soon.
The Challenges feature is a free and powerful tool to boost engagement, increase check-ins, and build loyalty with your visitors.
This guide explains how any user with Admin permission on the Partner Portal can create, manage, and promote a challenge for Wellhub members.
How to set up a partner challenge
- Log in to the Partner Portal.
- In the main menu, go to Growth > Challenges.
- If you have multiple locations, select the specific one you want to create the challenge for from the Location dropdown menu.
- Find the Challenges section and click Create challenge.
- Customize your challenge details:
- Title & Description: Choose one of our preset titles or create your own.
- Duration: Choose a preset duration or a custom one (up to 30 days).
- Goal Type: Select the challenge mechanic. You can set a point goal per participant to reach, a collective group effort goal, or a higher score competition with an open goal.
- Review all the information on the confirmation screen and click Publish challenge.
- A screen will appear with a QR code and an invitation link. You must share one of these with your visitors to invite them to your challenge.
How to manage and promote your challenge
Once your challenge is created, you can track its progress in the Challenges section of the portal. You can:
- Promote your challenge by sharing the QR code or invitation link with your visitors.
- Monitor the live leaderboard to see who's in the lead.
- Get detailed reports by clicking Get leaderboard by email to receive a CSV file with a full breakdown of points.
- Cancel a challenge at any time, whether it's upcoming or already in progress.
Visitors must use the specific invitation link or QR code that you provide to them. The challenge will not appear automatically in their Wellhub app.
This is the most important rule for your visitors. For a partner-created challenge, points are earned as follows:
- Check-ins: Participants earn 10,000 points for each check-in, but only for check-ins at your specific location. Check-ins at other Wellhub partners will not count towards your challenge.
- Steps: Participants will also earn 1 point for every step they track, just like in any other Wellhub challenge.
At any time, even after the challenge has ended, you can go to the challenge page in your portal and click Get leaderboard by email to receive a full report with the final standings and points breakdown.
