Proportional billing (pro-rata) is the amount calculated in proportion to the exact number of days the benefit was active during your billing cycle. This means the company only pays for the actual time the service was used.
This proportional billing usually happens in three main situations:
- Start of contract: Your first invoice is calculated from the date we launched your company on our platform. Because of this, the amount charged in your first month is usually lower than the full monthly amount set out in your contract.
- Adding new services: If you activate extra packages mid-month (like the benefit for family members or Wellhub+), the billing will only cover the remaining days until your current invoice closes.
- Increase in eligible collaborators: The same principle applies when you request an immediate increase to the eligible collaborator limit on your contract during a billing cycle.
