Proportional billing (pro-rata) is the amount calculated proportionally to the exact days the benefit was active during the billing cycle. This way, the company only pays for the actual time the service was used.
This proportional billing usually occurs in three main situations:
- Start of contract: Your first invoice is calculated from the date we launched your company on our platform. Therefore, the amount charged in the initial month is usually lower than the integral monthly amount defined in the contract.
- Addition of new services: If you activate additional packages mid-month (such as the benefit for family members or Wellhub+), the billing will refer only to the remaining days until the current invoice closes.
- Increase in eligible employees: The same principle is applied when you request an immediate increase in the eligible employee limit of your contract during a billing cycle.
